LATEST | Major Turn of events in Vancouver regarding the forward Brock Boeser
Brock Boeser was the cause of many headlines this season due to the problems he's faced and his lack of production. The forward had reportedly asked for a trade out of Vancouver but had a change of heart during the season and ended up rescinding his trade request.
With Tocchet as the bench boss, it seemed as if Boeser had turned over a new leaf, as he was one of the most productive forward in the season's last stretch. Now, TSN Insider Pierre Lebrun confirmed that the Canucks have also made their feelings clear to other teams:
Boeser was often pointed out as one of the pieces the Canucks meant to use as a salary dump, and the latest report clearly shows the team's state of mind regarding their forward. Here's what Lebrun reported on the subject:
''There haven't been any teams calling this offseason so farthe reality from what I'm hearing is that the #Canucksare more than happy to keep him in the fold if nothing comes their way that makes sense.''
It gives the impression that the Canucks have decided that Brock Boeser wouldn't be the piece they sacrifice. OEL, Myers, Garland, and Boeser were the main names involved in those talks, and it's good that Boeser is out since he has the most chances of having a bounce-back season that could've hurt the Nucks.
Now that Boeser's off the books, who's the player that won't be there when the Canucks kick off their training camp?
