Canucks issue a statement on Elias Pettersson
The Canucks were lucky enough to have Elias Pettersson slide down to the 5th rank of the 2017 NHL Draft. Rumors had it that certain person had another player in mind with the team's top pick back then, but history shows that Pettersson was the best available option for the Canucks.
Time has gone by and the Canucks have issued a statement acknowledging a huge career milestone for the team's superstar Swede.

With the team's last name agains the Golden Knights, Elias Pettersson has now taken part in 400 NHL regular season game. Since entering the league, Pettey managed an impressive 407 points. With the new contract he just inked, he'll be looking to add more to these already impressive totals.
Pettersson is currently going through a dry spell, for the first time this season he's been kept off the score sheet for four games straight. The good news is that the Canucks will be taken parts in the playoffs regardless of how many points he puts up from here on to the end of the season.
It also means he's got seven games to figure it out and take his game back to where it was after Christmas when he was one of the NHL's top player.
