During Wednesday's game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Colorado Avalanche, Sportsnet's cameras caught a wholesome moment with J.T. Miller and Nikita Zadorov.

In the first period, Miller was hit in the head by Colorado Avalanche defenceman Josh Manson. Miller was forced to leave the game for a short period of time before returning, but in the second frame, Nikita Zadorov came to the defence of his teammate, dropping the mitts with Manson.

After the fight was over and Zadorov was sitting in the penalty box getting ready to serve his five-minute major, Miller came over to talk to him and was likely thanking him for coming to his defence and standing up for him following the hit in the previous period.

It's great to see the leadership that both Miller and Zadorov bring to this Canucks lineup on a nightly basis. Zadorov, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, would be a great fit for the Canucks next season and beyond on a lower term contract in the two-to-three year range.

Do you think the Vancouver Canucks should re-sign Nikita Zadorov? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
