NHL issues a statement on J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson
The National Hockey League has made a post on their social media regarding Vancouver Canucks forwards J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, the day after the team clinched a spot in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
In the post on their public relations account on X, the National Hockey League shared that J.T. Miller is the current playoff points leader of anyone on the Vancouver Canucks roster, sitting at 44 in 78 games. He was tied for the lead the last time Vancouver made the playoffs in 2020 with Elias Pettersson.
"The @Canucks are back in the #StanleyCup Playoffs for the first time since 2020 when they eliminated the reigning champions in the First Round.
J.T. Miller & Elias Pettersson are 2 of 6 current Canucks who were part of that series win." The NHL said.
They added, "J.T. Miller has the most career playoff goals (9), assists (35) and points (44) among current Canucks, including 6-12--18 in 2020 (which tied Elias Pettersson for the lead."
Miller and Pettersson have been leading the charge offensively for the Vancouver Canucks this season and have been getting plenty of support with the team's depth as well, along with Quinn Hughes playing a key role by putting up 81 points so far.
