In a shocking turn of events, NHL insider Elliotte Freidman has been handed a lengthy suspension from his employer Sportsnet, disallowing him to discuss or entertain any information regarding the Vancouver Canucks.
The Vancouver Canucks have been a matter of contention the last couple of weeks, all stemming from the drama and issues surrounding J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson.
Regardless if all the rumors are true, one fact remains is that the hockey media has really propelled the narrative to a point that is making it look beyond repair, and one of the main culprits is Elliotte Friedman.
Elliotte Friedman Suspended By Sportsnet From Discussing the Vancouver Canucks
It may not be Friedman's intention to cause drama, but the reality is, it is having a major effect.
Ever since J.T. Miller took his leave of absence in November, along with all the reports of the issues between Miller and Elias Pettersson's relationship, Friedman has offered a lot of speculation, as well as proposing trade rumors that have done nothing but cause more drama.

Friedman: I've been given a one month suspension for talking about the Canucks. I cannot talk about the Canucks for a month. Till January 23rd.
