Vancouver Canucks Organization Officially Signs Two-Time Champion For the 2025-26 Season

The Vancouver Canucks organization has made another addition this week, bringing a two-time champion and former captain to the fold for the 2025-26 campaign.
The month of September has been a very busy time for the Vancouver Canucks organization as the
the big club opened up training camp, while their two affiliates - AHL's Abbotsford Canucks & ECHL's Kalamazoo Wings - continue to make additions to their respective rosters.
Kalamazoo has made some big additions to their rosters in September including
the signing of Cam Knuble, son of longtime NHLer Mike Knuble, as well as
a pair of former Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but the Wings didn't stop there and on Monday, announced that they're bringing a two-time Kelly Cup champion on board for the upcoming season.

In a press released on Monday, the Kalamazoo Wings announced that they've agreed to terms on a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season with two-time Kelly Cup champion Todd Skirving.
"The Kalamazoo Wings, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Vancouver Canucks, announced Monday that veteran forward Todd Skirving has signed a Standard Player Contract (SPC) with the team for the 2025-26 season." the club said.
Skirving, 33, has spent his entire professional career, in the ECHL with the Orlando Solar Bears, Utah Grizzlies, Atlanta Gladiators, Newfoundland Growlers, Florida Everblades and Reading Royals, registering 168 points (85 goals, 83 assists) and 211 penalty minutes in 340 games.
The Thunder Bay, Ontario native has worn the 'C' twice in his ECHL career thus far and has hoisted the Kelly Cup on two occasions, the first coming with Newfoundland in 2019 and the second with Florida in 2024.
"I'm excited for the opportunity with the Kalamazoo Wings and eager to get started. I look forward to meeting my new teammates, the coaching staff, the fans and experiencing everything the city has to offer. It's motivating to join such a strong group of returning players with a shared goal of bringing the Kelly Cup to Kalamazoo." Skirving said.
Skirving and the rest of the Kalamazoo Wings will open up the 2025-26 campaign on Friday, October 10th on the road as they take on the Toledo Walleye, with puck drop set for 4:15 p.m. PT (7:15 p.m. local).
