The Flyers' new GM, Danny Briere, hasn't been wasting his time since he was formally named GM. He's already trade a big piece in Ivan Provorov, and Carter Hart, Travis Konecny and Scott Laughton have all been linked to different trade rumors.

The Flyers have started their summer today when they formally tendered their qualifying offers to their restricted free agents and it was confirmed that 3 players would be walking away freely. One name caused quite the surprised as a former first round pick.

Kieffer Bellows, he was the Islanders first round pick in 2016 (19th), but was claimed off of waivers by the Flyers earlier this year. Viewed as a power forward possesses high end puckhandling ability as well as a crisp, accurate release on his shot. He never lived up to his potential.

Bellows has played both on the wing and down the middle in his young NHL career and would definitely represent a low-risk/low-cost opportunity for the Canucks. He has NHL experience, once had a high-end potential, he's 6'01'' and just under 200 pounds. Perhaps he could be a good fit for the Canucks as they'll need low-cost players?

Bellows managed 3 goals in 28 NHL games this years and while in the NHL, the 25-year-old put 10 points in 12 outings.
