The Los Angeles have been active buyers on the market with their recent acquisition of Vladislav Gavrikov and Joonas Korpisalo. They've done an excellent job of retooling and buying great assets at a low price, just like they did over the summer when they acquired Kevin Fiala, Allvin should be taking notes on their GM Rob Blake.

The Kings have been drafting high-level prospects for most of the last 5 years and some of them have had issues developing their game as it's been the case for their 2019 Top Draft Pick, Alex Turcotte, who they chose with the 5th overall pick. He has yet to find his niche on the Kings' roster and the latest report coming from David Pagnotta is that Rob Blake had started talking the calls on the 22-year-old and two western conference teams have already inquired about him:

''One curious name making the rounds lately: #GoKingsGo Alex Turcotte, drafted 5th overall in 2019. At least two Western Conf teams have inquired.''

Everyone is well aware that the Canucks are in the market for another centerman under 25 after acquiring Aatu Raty in the Bo Horvat trade. Alex Turcotte has all the potential needed to become an elite centerman and could definitely be seen as the guy behind Elias Pettersson in Vancouver. Prior to his selection in the draft, here's how he was described:

''He's a highly competitive, two-way center with elite vision and playmaking ability, ''

- EPrinkside.com 2019

''His playmaking ability and vision both compliment his ability to read the ice, where he's capable of making high-end passes at full speed,''

- Hockeyprospect.com 2019

Since he joined professional hockey in 2020-2021, Turcotte has taken part in 83 AHL games where he managed 53 points. After a grand total of 12 NHL games, he has yet to register his first point.

The Canucks have shown that they weren't scared to pay the price to buy whatever was on their shopping list (Filip Hronek) and we might have an excellent candidate on our hands with Alex Turcotte. Do you think the Canucks could have their 2nd line-centerman with this youngster?
