Since retiring from the game, the former Norris Trophy winner, who was already well known for his abilities in front of a camera, has been a panellist on ESPN's NHL broadcast.

During the first intermission of the heavily disputed matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins, Subban shared the panel with Hall of Famer Mark Messier and Steve Levy. Levy encouraged Subban to share a misplaced joke he had said during a commercial.

"I'm not a carpenter, but I carry around a hammer"

Levy did not stop there. He added a weird comment to this already narrative:

"Yes, you d,o I have heard."

This sequence went viral as it spread out across various networks. The fans' response hasn't been positive thus far regarding the former Canadien, Predator and Devils player. It's been suggested that the ESPN Executives call a meeting to address the situation and inappropriate
Subban became a full-time analyst in November 2022, when he agreed to a three-year contract. The Defenseman last played in the 2021-2022 season when he registered 22 points in 77 games.
