LATEST | Maple Leafs fined for unprofessional conduct
The Toronto Maple Leafs suffered a brutal 6-2 loss at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night. Not only did the loss snap a seven-game winning streak for the club, but it also saw head coach Sheldon Keefe receive an ejection late in the game.
As reporter Chris Johnston has indicated, the NHL has decided to fine Keefe a whopping $25,000 for his actions, citing «unprofessional conduct directed at the officials».
Toronto sits at 33-17-8, holding the 3rd spot in the Atlantic Division.
The win for Vegas shrunk the Canucks' lead in the Pacific Division from 10 points to eight, thought the Knights currently hold two games in hand.
