MAJOR | Nikita Zadorov has been acquired by the Canucks: Allvin strikes again
Patrik Allvin striked once more. After sending Anthony Beauvillier to the Chicago Blackhawks it was clear that a trade for a Defenseman was imminent.
Allvin announced through the Canucks' X page that the club had acquired the Defenseman Nikita Zadorov for two draft picks:
''General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have acquired D Nikita Zadorovfrom the Calgary Flames in exchange for afifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft (acquired from CHI) and a third-round pick in 2026.''
The Defenseman had made it known to the organization that he wasn't satisfied with the team's direction and wanted out of Calgary.
6'6'' and 235 pound, this makes the Canucks defence much harder to play against. The Defenseman has a contract that will carry a $3.75M cap hit up until the end of this season.
The 28-year-old and former first round draft pick had managed 6 points in 21 games thus far this year.
