In a post on their social media, the National Hockey League announced that Connor Bedard has been named second star of the week for March 11th to 17th after putting up seven points (two goals, five assists) in three games.
Bedard, 18, has had a solid rookie campaign thus far and is nearly a point-per-game player despite missing roughly six weeks of action. In 54 games this season, Bedard has recorded 53 points (21 goals, 32 assists), 18 penalty minutes and is a minus-37.
There's no doubt that, as of today, Connor Bedard is the favourite for the Calder Trophy as the National Hockey League's best rookie for the 2023-24 season and could potentially win in via a unanimous vote.
