MAJOR | Star forward and former forty goalscorer made a healthy scratch
The Columbus Blue Jackets have been extremely active over the last two summers with major acquisitions. They added star Defenseman like Ivan Provorov and Damon Severson, star forwards like Johnny Gaudreau and most recently Adam Fantilli. Yet, nothing seems to be working.
HEAD COACH TAKING MATTERS INTO HIS OWN HANDS
Unsatisfied with some of his players, the Jackets' HC decided to send a strong message and made the star forward Patrik Laine a healthy scratch.
''Patrik Laine is a healthy scratch tonight for #CBJ in Philadelphia.
He has no points in his last 4 games and only played just over 12 minutes in each of the last two. Ouch.''
Laine is only a mere shadow of the 2016 second overall pick, who some people even thought was a better player then Auston Matthews. The winger scored 52 points in 55 games last season and has only managed 3 through 9 since the season started.
Reports have already suggested that he wanted out of Columbus and this recent move may confirm the deed.
