LATEST | NHL issues a statement regarding former Canucks captain Bo Horvat
It came as a shock when the Canucks' management chose that Bo Horvat would be part of a massive trade sending him to the Islanders. Looking back though, it's hard to say that it wasn't the right call. Especially if you look at how the team is currently handling it self.
Ultimately, it seems to have worked out for the best for both parties. The Canucks have acquired pieces that suited their needs better, Horvat signed a massive contract and is now setting new career highs. The NHL issued a statement after the Islanders' game on Saturday:
'Bo Horvat extended his point streak to 10 games, a new career high and the third double-digit point streak by a @NYIslanders player over the past 10 seasons.''
The 28-year-old has 30 points through 29 games with an impressive 12 goals to go with it.
