This week, the former Canucks defenceman was a guest on a recent edition of 'Sekeres & Price' and opened up about his time in Vancouver.
Del Zotto told Sekeres & Price that he's very grateful for his time with the Canucks and getting to play with the Sedins during their final season was special. He also went on to add that he's happy to see the success they're having this season.
The 33-year-old appeared in 105 games with the Vancouver Canucks across parts of two seasons (2017-18 & 2018-19) before being traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Luke Schenn and a 2020 seventh-round pick. In those 105 games, the Stouffville, Ontario native had 26 points (seven goal, 19 assists), 56 penalty minutes and was a minus-five.
After his time with the Canucks, Del Zotto would go on to spend time with the Anaheim Ducks, St. Louis Blues, Columbus Blue Jackets, Ottawa Senators, Belleville Senators, Charlotte Checkers and San Diego Gulls, before calling time on his playing career. Del Zotto finished his NHL career with 262 points and 284 penalty minutes in 736 games.
.@MichaelDelZotto on his time with the #Canucks:
"My first year there was the only year of my career where I played a full 82 games...getting a year with the twins in their last year was very, very special, two of the classiest individuals you'll ever meet.
