LATEST | Former scout makes an extremely promising statement regarding Elias Pettersson's future
The one thing that's headlines the past few weeks is that the Canucks' superstar has chosen to put a hold on contract negotiations for now.
Eager for competitiveness and meaningful games the belief is that Pettey wants to see how things develop and how the team performs moving forward before committing his prime years to Vancouver.
A former Swede scout dropped a bombshell earlier today in regards to Pettersson's intentions with the team and there is no way this doesn't come as great news for the fans:
'If you think that then you don't know Elias Pettersson, Pettersson will sign long term with the Canucks regardless how good or bad they will be,if you know Pettersson you would know he is a Loyal player to his team,he has no desire to play anywhere else.'' After the whole Bo Horvat fiasco that occurred last season and ended up being a major distraction in the team's environment. Perhaps this isn't a strategy for him and he truly wants to lead the team to the best of his abilities while pushing away everything that might get in the way.
