LATEST | Things are confirmed for Andrei Kuzmenko: Pictures of his injury released
The Vancouver Canucks are set to take on their Pacific Northwest rivals, the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night at Rogers Arena and will be getting a familiar face back in the lineup.
After missing Thursday's game against the Flames, Canucks forward Andrei Kuzmenko will return to the lineup on Saturday night. Kuzmenko was hit in the chin with a puck during Wednesday's game and didn't travel with the team to Calgary after the game concluded.
Thomas Drance of The Athletic is reporting that Kuzmenko was in his usual spot alongside Elias Pettersson during the morning skate and is wearing a full face shield.
"Kuzmenko on ice at #Canucks morning skate - wearing a full face shield - and taking line rushes in his usual spot on Pettersson's wing." Drance said.
Kuzmenko spoke with reporters after the morning skate and was asked if he was scared after taking the puck to the face, which he responded with "no."
Puck drop for tonight's game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Seattle Kraken is set for 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET and can be viewed across Canada on Sportsnet.
