Draisaitl confidently addresses the upcoming series with the Canucks
The only two Canadian teams remaining are matching up for Round 2, and while the Canucks had the Oilers number in the regular season - Edmonton isn't putting much weight into that.
The Canucks went a perfect 4-0 against the Oilers during the season, outscoring Edmonton 21-7, but superstar Leon Draisaitl says the playoffs are a whole different animal.
We're going into Round 2 of the playoffs, we don't care what happened in the regular season, I bet you they don't either as much as you think,
The German center says it's a matchup between two outstanding teams, and quite simply, whoever plays better will win.
While the Canucks did sweep the Oilers in the regular season, it's worth noting that three of the games were played in the first month of the season when the Oilers were floundering. After the 3rd of those losses against the Canucks, the Oilers went 47-19-5 in the remainder of the season.
Draisaitl was driven during the Oilers' first round against the Kings; the goalscoring German managed five goals and 10 points through 5 games in the opening round of the playoffs.
Game 1 between the two teams ends Wednesday at 7 PM PST.
