LATEST | NHL Leading Canucks wildly disrespected by the Stanley Cup odd makers
When the Vancouver Canucks came into the 2023-24 season, no one expected them to even make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, let alone be a contender for the greatest trophy in all of hockey.
In a post on their social media accounts, the National Hockey League shared an updated list on the odds for the 2024 Stanley Cup and the Vancouver Canucks have taken a significant jump since January 2nd.
On January 2nd, the Canucks had a +2200 odds to win the Stanley Cup this season and since then, the team has gone on a tear, sporting a record of 11-1-2 in 14 games. Their strong play over those 14 games has now jumped the Canucks up to +1300.
With the Canucks at +1300, they only sit behind the Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes and Winnipeg Jets. The Canucks currently have a better record than all seven teams ahead of them on the list and they should certainly be higher than eighth.
Do you think the Vancouver Canucks will finally win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
