The Kings outplayed the Canucks in pretty much every aspect of the game. From the defensive structure to their special units to their forechecking match, the Kings struck every time they were presented with a scoring opportunity.
Rick Tocchet took the stand and reiterated the same things he's been saying over the last stretch. Five games away from the playoffs, it's time for the Canucks to wake up and get back to their previous form. J.T. Miller offered his thoughts following the game and wasn't scared to call out the team for their poor effort.
We just kept shooting ourselves in the foot. I'm not saying we can't make mistakes, but it just cost us today.
Miller now counts 97 points on the season with five games remaining. He still has five games to beat his career-high 99 points and break the 100-point barrier. He's already established a career-high in goals with 35, and he's currently five assists down from his career-best 67.
