It will never be a good scene for a goalie when you let in 5 goals on 10 shots, and for Montreal Canadiens goalie Samuel Montembeault, his temper got the best of him and lost it on the bench when he was pulled from the game against the Seattle Kraken tonight (October 29th).
Tonight was clearly no different as Montembeault took out his frustration on his goalie stick when he got back to the bench.

It is even more frustrating when the team in front of you is giving up pizzas, and grade-A scoring opportunities over and over again, but you also have to be mad that a goalie of his calibre is not stopping the shots that should be easy.
Whether it is just a situation of when it rains it pours, these are shots that a competent NHL goalie needs to be able to stop in his sleep. Regardless of if you team is making mistakes in front of you, giving up 5 goals on 10 shots is a recipe for a pull.
You can guess that his consistency will, once again, be questioned by some experts, and if Montembeault has too many performances of this type, we could see a turnaround in the situation in front of the Habs' goal (especially if Cayden Primeau does well).
