Boston took a 4-0 lead after two periods, with another goal coming less than 30 seconds into the final frame, while rookie forward Max Sasson scored his first NHL goal later on in the third period.
As the Vancouver Canucks prepare for Monday night's game against Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche, General Manager Patrik Allvin has made a roster move.
In a social media post on Sunday, the Vancouver Canucks announced that they've assigned Finnish forward Aatu Raty to the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Canucks.
Aatu Raty has been up and down between the NHL and AHL Abbotsford quite a bit this season and it's possible that this is just a paper transaction to help the Vancouver Canucks accrue cap space they can use at the trade deadline in March.
However, Aaty Raty has been in the press box the last two games because of the return of J.T. Miller from his leave of absence for personal reasons.
There's a possibility that the Canucks are sending Aatu Raty down to the AHL in order to get game time, which would be smart given that it's not ideal to have a 22-year-old developing prospect sit in the press box.
In 20 games with Vancouver this season, the Oulu native has four points (two goals, two assists), eight penalty minutes and is a minus-two.
We'll have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to see if this is just a paper transaction or if Aatu Raty will be staying in the AHL for the time being.
