Currently in their second road trip of the season, After beating the Boston Bruins, Ottawa Senators and Buffalo Sabres, the Canucks are now 3-1 with two games to go.
It has not been an easy month of November for the Canucks, with the absences of Brock Boeser, J.T. Miller, Derek Forbort, and now Filio Hronek.
Despite the obstacles, they have been able to weather the storm and continue to play above .500 hockey, keeping them in playoff contention.
Now, they look to continue their road success against the Detroit Red Wings.
Forwards
Jake DeBrusk - Elias Pettersson - Kiefer Sherwood
Brock Boeser - Pius Suter - Conor Garland
Dakota Joshua - Teddy Blueger - Nils Hoglander
Max Sasson - Aatu Raty - Danton Heinan
Defense
Quinn Hughes - Tyler Myers
Carson Soucy - Noah Juulsen
Erik Brannstrom - Vincent Desharnais
The most surprising aspect of their lines is head coach Rick Tocchet's decision to demote Kiefer Sherwood to the third line.
For the past handful of games, he has been slotted on the top line, granted Brock Boeser has been absent, but it seemed he had tons of chemistry with Elias Pettersson and Jake DeBrusk.
If anything, he deserves to still be in the top-6
The Canucks have elected to go back with basically their only option in net and give Kevin Lankinen the start once again.
One, he has been the Canucks MVP all season long and holds a perfect 9-0-0 road record. 2, Arturs Silovs has proven he is not ready for the NHL while holding the second worst save percentage of all goalies in the league.
