Vancouver Canucks Forward Brock Boeser Linked to Two New Teams Before the Trade Deadline
With only eight days to go before the NHL's trade deadline for the 2024-25 season, two new clubs have emerged as potential landing spots for Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser.
Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser
is expected to be available before the March 7th trade deadline and between now and then, there will be a number of teams that'll be phoning General Manager Patrik Allvin to inquire about the cost to land the former first round pick.
Two new teams linked to Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser
Over the last month, Brock Boeser
has been linked to a handful of teams including Florida, Minnesota, Los Angeles and Utah, but it appears that two more Western Conference teams that could be in the mix.
According to Matt Larkin of Daily Faceoff, the Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights are two teams to watch for Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser.
Larkin says that both teams are in need of some scoring help, especially the Colorado Avalanche, who traded
Mikko Rantanen, have four players accounting for 49% of their goals this season, and their power play is 16th in the National Hockey League at 21.7 percent.
As for the Vegas Golden Knights, Larkin says that the team could use another finisher on their roster and would be a more consistent option when the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin than
Keegan Kolesar and
Brett Howden, who are both having pretty good seasons.
Larkin also believes that because it's a sellers market, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin could fetch a first-round pick and a prospect in a Brock Boeser trade.
"Considering it's a seller's market and Boeser could net a package including a first-round pick and respectable prospect, the Canucks have to at least entertain offers for him." Larkin said.
Boeser, a native of Burnsville, Minnesota is having a bit of a down year when compared to his 2023-24 production, but is still on pace for 26 goals.
In 51 games, Boeser has 35 points (18 goals, 17 assists), 16 penalty minutes and is a minus-18.
We'll have to wait and see where things go, but there's a very good chance that we're entering the final week with Brock Boeser as a member of the Vancouver Canucks organization and hopefully, Patrik Allvin will be able to get a good return for him before the 12 pm PT deadline next Friday.
