Vancouver Canucks forwards J.T. Miller & Nils Hoglander linked in trade rumor to the Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings are amid a roller coaster season, but a the moment, the team is riding the high end of that, winning 6 straight games and inching their way back into the playoff spot.

With the Vancouver Canucks dealing with major off-ice issues regarding superstars J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, there has been constant chatter that one of the two will be involved in a blockbuster trade, and Miller may be the one to go.

A recent coaching change that brought in veteran Tod McLellan has seemed to make all the difference int he world for the Red Wings, as stated earlier, are on a unexpected winning streak.

With a playoff spot in reach, the Canucks may have all the fire power the Wings need in order to actually make a push, and a recent trade rumor has sparked major debate.

Even though the debate is sparked from J.T. Miller's age being a concern, the return for the caliber of play he offers is insulting.

In reality, Miller is still only 30-years-old and in the middle of his prime, he scored 37 goals and 66 assists for 103 points last season, and the return the trade rumor suggests is no where near enough to acquire him.

With all the outside noise, issues with Pettersson and personal issues, Miller has not had the season he hoped for, but still has the ability to easily be a 100 point player in the league.

If the general manager Steve Yzerman and the Detroit Red Wings are serious about landing Miller and Hoglander, they will have to give up a whole lot more, along the lines of Moritz Seider.
