On Tuesday night against the Calgary Flames, the Vancouver Canucks were without the services of forward Brock Boeser.
Boeser has missed the last two games after he was hit in the head by Los Angeles Kings forward Tanner Jeannot.
a three-game suspension by the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety.
It remains unclear when Brock Boeser will be able to return to the Canucks' lineup.
He was missed quite a bit during Saturday's loss to Edmonton, but last night, the Canucks got back in the win column with a 3-1 victory over the Flames.
There hasn't been much clarity on Brock Boeser's injury or status since he left last week's game in Los Angeles.
Updates throughout the last few days have caused some confusion, especially when Head Coach Rick Tocchet mentioned the forward is 'day-to-day', but clarified that it's a 'day-to-day thing' and that he doesn't have an update.
After the team's optional skate on Tuesday at Rogers Arena, Rick Tocchet met with the media where he spoke about Brock Boeser, saying that he hopes the 27-year-old is getting better by 3-4% per day, but stressed again that there's nothing new to report on his status.
If Brock Boeser is out long-term for the Vancouver Canucks, it would be a massive loss and a hole in the top-six that would be extremely hard to fill.
Boeser is coming off the best season of his NHL career where he had 40 goals and 73 points, and so far this year, was off to a flying start - registering 11 points in 12 games.
As Rick Tocchet says, the team is hoping that he'll be getting better, even if it's only slightly, on a daily basis, but we'll have to wait and see when Brock Boeser is able to get back on the ice and into game action.
Canucks fans are hoping that'll be at some point during the month of November.
