Amidst all of the news today, the Vancouver Canucks announce that Arturs Silovs will be starting in net and that they will have an extremely interesting projected lineup for when they host New York Rangers this evening (Nov 19).

The Vancouver Canucks are coming off another disappointing loss at the hands of the 6-10-3 Nashville Predators.

Cleary, head coach Rick Tocchet is looking to make some major changes in the lineup as the team is not performing the way he wants it, but the hand the team has been dealt will make it a difficult task.

"I'd like to see five or 10% [more] from other players tonight. Everybody can supply it," Tocchet said. "You're getting 100% effort, but what I'm saying is everybody gives five to 10% [more]. That's how you make up for in the short term."

With the big news this morning announced by Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin, the team will be without J.T. Miller for the foreseeable future and he has decided to take a leave of absence for personal reasons.

It has not been disclosed what has made him step away from the team, but all the fans are standing behind him.

With Brock Boeser still out with an injury, and J.T. Miller stepping away, the team has limited options on they want to shuffle the lines.

As a result, Patrik Allvin announced that they recalled forward Arshdeep Bains and have assigned defenseman Elias Pettersson back to down with the AHL Abbotsford Canucks.
