Vancouver Canucks star Elias Peterson silencing doubters with beautiful first goal of the season
In their first game back from the first road trip of the year, Vancouver Canucks superstar Elias Pettersson has finally scored his first goal of the season with a beauty one timer in the slot on Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Alex Nedeljkovic.

Many fans and even the Vancouver Canucks media have been doubtful and severely critical of Elias Pettersson's performances to start the season, and rightfully so, especially with his massive $92.8 million contract. But clearly, it was just a matter of time until Pettersson got back on the scoresheet, and with this beautiful one timer from the slot, he has finally got the monkey of his back.
In situations like this, where a player is on a dry spell, sometimes all it takes is one goal like this one to get their confidence back up, and obviously, all fans are hoping this is the case.
Here was the high energy announcement made at Rogers Arena After Elias Pettersson scored.
Just 22 seconds after Pettersson scored to close the Penguins lead to 1, J.T. Miller scored to tie the game 2-2, and then 34 seconds after that, the league leader in hits Kiefer Sherwood scored to take the lead in a 65-seconds 3 goal sequence.
