The Golden Knights used long-term injured reserve more than any team did last season, as they dealt with significant injury issues right from the start of the 2022-23 season. But the team persevered and went on to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history back in June.
According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, he thinks Nolan Patrick may have been healthier than the Golden Knights made people believe.
If Seravalli's information is correct, there's a good chance that Nolan Patrick could be the target of a professional try-out contract (PTO) this Fall, potentially by the Vancouver Canucks.
Patrick, who was the second overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in 222 games in the NHL with Philadelphia and Vegas, tallying 77 points (32 goals, 45 assists) and 83 penalty minutes.
The Winnipeg native will turn 25 later this month and if he is healthy, he could be a solid reclamation project for any team in the NHL. It's going to be interesting to see what happens on the Nolan Patrick front in the coming weeks.
I think it needs to be said that Nolan Patrick could be a perfect fit for the Oilers, provided he's healthy.
As @frank_seravalli implied on Oilers Now: "I think Nolan Patrick was maybe a bit healthier than the Vegas Golden Knights might have let on". Marky Mark (@sansFunkyBunch) August 22, 2023
