It's not without injuries that the Canucks have gone successful over their last games in 2023. Some more concerning than others, some players have yet to see a game this season, as it's been the case for Tucker Poolman and Guillaume Brisebois.

SEASON POTENTIALLY OVER FOR BRISEBOIS?

Rick Tocchet gave a less-than-positive update regarding the Defenseman in media availability. He's been out since the pre-season, and the Canucks could have used his services, especially since Carson Soucy has been out.

The latest update from the Head Coach revealed that he was out due to an 'upper-body'' injury, but everything points toward post-concussion symptoms:

'asked Rick Tocchet for any update on Guillaume Brisebois. He said not really. Good days and bad. Has skated periodically. His gear is still in his locker room stall, but Tocchet said it's hard to see him going through the struggle.''

'Tocchet has said in the past he can't say anything more than "upper-body," but it's clear from his wording that Brisebois is dealing with post-concussion issues.

He said his occasional skates have been following "the protocol," but he's never able to progress up the return-to-play steps.''

Whatever the cause of his injury, it's clear that Brisebois has yet to make substantial progress, and a third of the season is already behind us. He's been on the Long-Term Injury Reserve since the season started, and it may be this way until the end of it.
