Comets forward Filip Engaras taken off by stretcher after frighting scene on the ice
A scary scene took place in an AHL game featuring the Laval Rocket and Utica Comets. Comets forward Filip Engaras was hit awkwardly into the corner bords resulting in a disturbing scene needing a stretcher.
While the hit on Engaras was clean, the result of the hit was not as it caused severe panic on the ice as Engaras went head first into the boards. The Laval Rocket Goalie went to check on him, but it was clear that the trainers and medical staff needed to rush and tend to him as he was lifeless on the ice.
In the video presented below, you can see the trainers rush onto the ice with a stretcher in order to stabilize him and get him to the hospital. A good sign at least was that Engaras was moving his hands and fingers while laying on the bed, but there have been no updates on his condition just yet.
