LATEST | Allvin believes he has finally added the piece he needed to make the playoffs
The Canucks were quite active in the last week prior to the deadline, notable acquiring Filip Hronek. The team's GM reflected on the past week in the press conference he held on Friday afternoon.
Allvin stood before the media and gave his thoughts on the trade he had accomplished prior and made quite the statement when he revealed that he believed he had acquired the missing pieces to make the Canucks a playoff contender.
Brendan Batchelor reported that he said that missing the playoffs was a huge disappointment and while he believes is needs to be held accountable for it. He also believes that the group he has in place, with the addition of the newly acquired Filip Hronek, are expected to make the playoffs next year.
Let's not forget that while they acquired Hronek, the Canucks lost a major part of their top-six when Bo Horvat was traded away and they still have not fixed their centerman issues. The Canucks will have to hope for an opportunity to acquire one via free agency or draft an NHL ready centerman.
If they manage add another NHL centerman and fix their defensive woes, can the Canucks managed to capture a playoff spot next year?
