In recent weeks, several Canucks reporters have linked the team to a handful of different draft eligible prospects and no matter who they select, they're going to be getting a really good player.
In a recent article in The Athletic, Thomas Drance has revealed some insight into who the Canucks may select at 11th overall.
Drance says that the Canucks' ideal choice is Austrian defenceman David Reinbacher, but he'll be gone well before the 11th overall pick. The Canucks also reportedly like Slovakian forward Dalibor Dvorsky, but there's a chance that he may be gone before Allvin takes to the stage at Bridgestone Arena.
Drance is also saying that the Canucks are reluctant to draft a smaller wings, such as Langley native Zach Benson, who played for the Western Hockey League's Winnipeg Ice.
Realistically, Drance said the Canucks are hoping that either Swedish defenceman Tom Willander or Russian blueliner Dmitri Simashev will be available at 11th overall, both of whom should be still on the board.
