LATEST | Matthew Tkachuk takes shot at the Bruins after their OT win
The Panthers pulled quite the offset when Carter Veraeghea scored the OT winner in game 7 against the Bruins.
The B's had just dominated this whole season and they took an early 3-1 lead in this series, but Matthew Tkachuk and his Panthers did not let the them seal this one.
Tkachuk was once again fabulous in this one and he took the mic for the post game interview. Tkachuk did not hesitate to send some shots to the Bruins as he stated that, literally no one, would've favoured them in this series (I had the Bruins in 5). The Panthers' feisty winger even added that this had to be the greatest upset in history:
Tkachuk was filled with confidence after this one. The Panthers secured their playoff spot on the 81st game of the season while the Bruins rewrote history with regular season records. Even now, it's hard to believe they managed this turn around after they were trailing 3-1.
The Panthers will now be on their way to another team that's marked history, the Toronto Maple Leafs. It'll be intriguing to see who makes it to the top afterwards. Isn't crazy to think that Matthew Tkachuk could've been à Canuck? Had they not chosen Oli Juolevi?
