LATEST | Two players from the Devils granted indefinite leave of absence: Both members of the 2018 World Junior Team
It was revealed this morning that five players had been asked to report to the police where it believed that charges will be pressed regarding the 2018 Team Canada scandal.
Yesterday, Carter Hart and Dillon Dube were granted indefinite leave of absence from their respective teams. We learned moments ago that Alex Formenton had left his team in Switzerland to return to Canada and now the Devils just issued a statement announcing that Cal Foote and Michael McLeod would be stepping away from the team.
At this point in time, the NHL has not yet addressed the subject. However, it's been made very clear to every involved parties that only they would comment on the matter at a later time.
While these 5 players all have a clear link to the situation, no formal announcement or accusations has been made so far. We'll keep you posted on the latest developments.
