Among the over 40 unsigned prospects are two from the Vancouver Canucks - Connor Lockhart and Arvid Costmar.
Lockhart, 20, was selected in the sixth round (178th overall) in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. This season, the Kanata (Ontario) native has been with the Peterborough Petes, who won the OHL Championship last week and will be participating in the Memorial Cup.
In 66 games this season, Lockhart put up 79 points (29 goals, 50 assists), 47 penalty minutes, and was a plus-19. During the playoffs, he added 16 points in 23 games.
As for Arvid Costmar, he was drafted in the seventh round (215th overall) back in 2019 and has been playing in the Swedish Hockey League with Linkoping HC. Costmar is under contract with Linkoping HC for the 2023-24 season, so his time as a Canucks prospect is likely over by the time 5 p.m. rolls around on June 1st.
In 52 Swedish Hockey League games this past season, the 21-year-old recorded nine points (two goals, seven assists), 24 penalty minutes, and an even rating.
