Talks have heated up in the NHL over the last little while and now it appears that a blockbuster deal is in the works and three teams are notably involved.

Elliotte Friedman just tweeted that a massive deal involving the LA Kings, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Columbus Blue Jackets was in the works. From his reports, Ivan Provorov would be headed to Columbus and Cal Petersen to Philly:

'I believe Provorov will end up in Columbus and Cal Petersen in Philly. Not sure of all pieces.''

David Pagnotta and Chris Johnston just added to the fire:

'Provorov to CBJ
Walker, Petersen to Philly
Kings will retain 30% of Provorov deal''

'Hearing that Ivan Provorov is on his way to #CBJ as part of a three-way deal with #LAKings and #flyers.

Los Angeles is retaining a portion of his salary in the deal.''

The Blue Jackets had already made it clear they were shopping for a defenceman and they even offered one of their two 1st Round selection.

It makes plenty of sens for the Kings to try and and shed some salary as they'll actively try and re-sign Vladislav Gavrikov and Joonas Korpisalo whom they acquired for quite the steep price back at the deadline.

There are still lots of pieces missing to this trade chatter, but this deal sure sounds to involve big pieces.
