MUST SEE | Connor Bedard takes a shot at Paul Bissonnette on live TV
As they do every year, some of the top prospects are invited to a Stanley Cup Final game and are interviewed by Sportsnet and their American counterparts, this year being TNT.
This year, Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, Leo Carlsson and Will Smith all made the trip down to Vegas to attend Game 2 at T-Mobile Arena between the Golden Knights and Florida Panthers.
During his interview with the NHL on TNT panel, projected first-overall pick Connor Bedard was asked what it was like to be sitting at a desk with Wayne Gretzky, Henrik Lundqvist in Vegas and in front of the Stanley Cup. Bedard's answer was nothing short of hilarious after taking a dig at former enforcer Paul Bissonnette.
"I mean it's pretty crazy. I'm super grateful, like the NHL doing this is incredible for me and the other three prospects to come and see a couple pretty good players on this panel and Biz is here too."
The 17-year-old Bedard is coming off one of the best junior seasons we've seen in the last 20-25 years. Over the weekend, Bedard was recognized at the CHL awards show being named 'Player of the Year', 'Top Prospect Award', and the 'Top Scorer Award' after putting up 143 points in 57 games this season.
Bedard, along with Fantilli, Carlsson and Smith will now turn their attention to the NHL Draft Combine, which is being held in Buffalo until June 10th before the prospects head down to Nashville for the Entry Draft on June 28th and 29th.
