Yesterday, the Avalanche dealt Alex Newhook to the Montreal Canadiens and now they've made their second trade in as many days, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
Friedman is reporting that the Colorado Avalanche have acquired two-time Stanley Cup champion Ross Colton from the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Colton, 26, was selected 118th overall by the Lightning in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and joined the team in 2018 after two seasons at the University of Vermont.
In 190 career NHL games so far, the Robbinsville, New Jersey native has 83 points (47 goals, 36 assists), 90 penalty minutes and is a minus-one. He's also appeared in 52 games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, recording 19 points.
