That familiar face wasn't Connor Bedard or any other young Blackhawks phenom Sunday night marked the return of Patrick Kane in his long-time home city of Chicago. The Hawks drafted Kane first overall back in 2007, where he would become one of the greatest players in franchise history. His tenure was highlighted by multiple Art Ross trophies, and three Stanley Cup victories in a five-year span (2010, 2013, 2015).
In his long-anticipated return to Chicago, Kane potted a breakaway beauty to win the game in overtime, but was also subject of a questionably-high hit courtesy of Connor Bedard. Bedard had previously mentioned how excited he was to watch the video tribute for Kane ahead of his return.

When asked about Bedard as a player, Kane initially complemented his creativity, then voiced his disapproval for said hit. We will have to wait and see how Bedard and Kane will interact during their next matchup.
