LATEST | Rick Tocchet gives an important update on Carson Soucy and Dakota Joshua
It's been a rough season for Carson Soucy and a tough couple of weeks for Dakota Joshua. The Canucks have dealt with their injuries as well as they possibly could, and today, Rick Tocchet gave an essential update on a possible timeline and return timetable for these two.
During today's media scrum, Tocchet revealed that both players had been skating for quite some time before the leading group. According to his intel, both players were close to a return, but Tocchet did not want to commit to a proper date or timeline. It's already been five weeks for Soucy and two for Joshu; there absences have both been deeply missed:
asked Tocchet if either Soucy or Joshua would join the leading group for practices this week. He just said they're both close. It has been five weeks for Soucy/2 weeks for Joshua. I believe both skated before practice today
Even though Dakota Joshua and Carson Soucy are considered depth pieces, adding them to the current group changes this team's look. Joshua completes Blueger and Garland, possibly the best third in the whole NHL. While Soucy perfectly fits into the Canucks current bottom-four defensive group.
