TRADE ALERT | Canucks trade Jack Studnicka to the Sharks in three piece deal
The announcement just came through, Patrik Allvin just traded the forward Jack Studnicka to the San Jose Sharks.
The team issued the following statement confirming that they had acquired a 6th Round Pick and the Defenseman Nick Cicek:
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks� have acquired D Nick Cicek and a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for F Jack Studnicka.
Despite having an excellent camp, Studnicka was sent down to the AHL and never found his way back to the Canucks. Through 9 games with the Abbotsford Canucks, the young centerman managed 7 points.
Cicek, an undrafted defenseman, played 16 NHL games last season during which he collected 5 assists.
