BREAKING | Former Canucks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau gets a new job
Bruce Boudreau was let go from the Canucks a little under a year ago, and he hasn't been behind a notable bench ever since. The longtime NHL coach admitted he still has the fire in his eyes, and he'd be open to returning to the bench.
BOUDREAU FINDS A NEW GIG
It had been rumoured that Boudreau was in the running to be Team Canada's Head Coach at the Spengler Cup. The confirmation just came in that Bruce would indeed be the bench boss for the Canadian team:
Bruce Boudreau will serve as head coach for Team Canada at this month's Spengler Cup.
Boudreau will be joined behind the bench by assistant coaches Larry Mitchell, Jim Playfair and Jeff Tomlinson.
The tournament will be held in Davos between December 26-31, 2023.
The 68-year-old is one of the coaches to have been behind an NHL bench for over 1000 games and having a winning record of 617-342-128.
He still holds the NHL's 21st rank for game coached and wins.
