MAJOR | Terrible news drops on Connor McDavid: Not good for the Oilers and the NHL
The Edmonton Oilers were the big winner of the lottery in 2015 when they were granted the first overall pick. Connor McDavid came to Edmonton as a blessing and he's turned this franchise into a dominant offensive force in the NHL.
McDAVID OUT WITH AN INJURY?
The news just broke, Frank Seravalli announced that the Oilers' superstar would be out for a period of up to two weeks. That's a terrible news for the Oilers since they'll be performing without their top player during that time, but also for the league, since the Oilers are scheduled to play the Flames on Sunday for the Heritage Classic.
'#Oilers say Connor McDavid expected to miss 1-2 weeks with an upper-body injury.
The Heritage Classic is on Sunday vs. #Flames.''
One of the event meant to promote the league, the Heritage Classic was supposed to feature the superstar McDavid may not be able to make it.
The 97 scored 8 points through his first 5 games and this injury will not be helping him reaching the career high 153 he had in 2022-2023.
