LATEST | Two-time Stanley Cup champion has high praise for the Canucks
Last night, the Tampa Bay Lightning made their only trip to Vancouver for the 2023-24 season, but the result didn't go their way as the Canucks walked away with a 4-1 win.
Tampa Bay's lone goal of the game came less than two minutes into the opening frame courtesy of Brayden Point, who had some high praise for the Vancouver Canucks.
After the game, Point mentioned that the Canucks have a very deep roster and a complete team with a great goaltender as well, referencing Thatcher Demko, who made 28 saves for the win last night.
"They're explosive offensively and they're a deep team. They don't give you a whole lot. They got a lot of guys that can skate, a lot of guys that check, they work hard + they got a great goaltender too, so they're a pretty complete team." Point said.
It's always great to hear positive things from the outside regarding the Canucks, especially from an opposing player. It just shows that the league is starting to take notice of Vancouver's success so far this season and that it won't be easy for teams to come into Rogers Arena and walk away with a win.
