A Canucks 2023 4th rounder is starting to look like a potential steal.
Taken 119th overall in last year's draft, Matthew Perkins is a small, shifty, center from Saskatchewan, currently playing at Minnesota-Duluth.
On a team filled with 21 and 22 year old players, the freshman's ice time is limited, but he's managed to turn some heads.
His recent 3 point weekend helped propel him to NCHC Rookie of the Week.
In his first year with Minnesota-Duluth, the 20 year old has 12 points in 24 games.
If he continues his strong play, the Canucks could have a late round gem on their hands.
