The Canucks came out ahead in New Jersey and thanks to Rick Tocchet's line changes, the Loto Line made of Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser carried the team with a combined eight points.

As the latest usual, the team's third line made of Dakota Joshua, Conor Garland and Teddy Blueger were excellent in their role. However the current line configuration does raise an issue that will need fixing if the Canucks intend on being a serious cup contender.

Despite the fact that Pius Suter has been an extremely valuable addition to the Canucks' line-up, he's nowhere near what you need from a second line centerman if you intend on being a serious cup contender.

The Canucks have had issues finding a constant secondary scoring source and with the expected increased production from the first line, they'd be a constant menace with a dominant second-line center.

Allvin definitely has work left before the Canucks are considered as the team to beat, do you think he should be adressing the offence's needs before the defence's?
