LATEST | Cody Hodgson reflects on his time in Vancouver
Cody Hodgson has broken the media silence during his journey to resume his NHL career.
The Canucks 10th overall pick in 2008 suited up for the Milwaukee Admirals on Wednesday night in the first outing in his attempted return to pro hockey, and the 33 year old added an assist.
Before last night, Hodgson hadn't played pro hockey since 2015.
Hodgson joined the Donnie and Dhali podcast on Wednesday to discuss his time in Vancouver to kick off his career, including "Game 8" against Boston in 2012 and a move to Buffalo shortly after.
Hodgson says he was happy to get an opportunity to play more minutes in Buffalo, but that he would have been perfectly fine remaining with the Canucks.
It was more the media and everybody else that made the big deal about me not playing,
Hodgson said.
Hodgson said he had good experiences in both cities.
One of the most promising prospects the Canucks had at the time, Hodgson only suited up for 71 regular season games with the Canucks over two years.
