LATEST | NHL makes a huge announcement on Elias Pettersson
Welcome to February and to kick things off this month, six members of the Vancouver Canucks, along with Rick Tocchet, are in Toronto for the National Hockey League's All-Star Weekend.
After a strong month of January, Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson found himself honoured by the National Hockey League.
In a post on their public relations account on X, formerly Twitter, the National Hockey League announced that Canucks forward Elias Pettersson is the third star for the month of January.
"Nathan MacKinnon (@Avalanche), Stuart Skinner (@EdmontonOilers) and Elias Pettersson (@Canucks) have been named the NHL's «Three Stars» for the month of January." During January, Pettersson skated in 13 games for the Canucks where he managed to put up 21 points (14 goals, seven assists), helping his team to a 10-1-2 record.
Pettersson, 25, is now up to 64 points (27 goals, 37 assists) this season, along with four penalty minutes and is a plus-16 in 49 games, which currently has him second on the Canucks behind J.T. Miller, who has 67 points.
