There were several big names on Sportsnet's list including John Gibson, Jake Guentzel, Elias Lindholm, as well as some familiar faces to Canucks fans - Chris Tanev, Jacob Markstrom and Tanner Pearson.
Among those included on Sportsnet's list were a pair of Vancouver Canucks forwards - Andrei Kuzmenko, who's been in trade rumours for the last couple of weeks, and Nils Hoglander, who could be used as a piece to help the team land a top-six forward.
Kuzmenko, 27, has had a tough season on the ice after putting up 39 goals in his first NHL campaign in 2022-23. The Yakutsk, Russia native has only managed to put up eight goals in 35 games this season and has found himself in the press box on several occasions, including on the team's current road trip. He has one year remaining on his contract beyond the 2023-24 season with a cap hit of $5.5 million.
Hoglander, 23, made the Canucks roster out of training camp after a 2022-23 season that saw him spent the majority of his time in the AHL. In 39 games, he's recorded 17 points (12 goals, five assists). Much like Andrei Kuzmenko, Hoglander has one year remaining on his contract after the 2023-24 season which comes with an average annual value of $1.1 million. The Gargns, Sweden native should garner plenty of interest from around the league over the next few weeks if Patrik Allvin does decide to dangle him in trade talks.
As Patrik Allvin and the Canucks look to improve their roster in any way possible, it's going to be interesting to see what they consider and who could potentially find themselves on the way out of Vancouver.
